Mr. Anthony Wallin originally hales from Dixon, Illinois where he first became involved in theatre as a sophomore in high school. Shortly after, he was taken on as a member of the Camelot Dinner Theatre acting company where he worked on stage and off for seven years. He studied theatre and education at Northern Illinois University where he explored an emphasis in playwriting and theatre education. In 1985 he graduated from NIU and moved to Texas to teach middle school math for HISD, but theatre was not very far away. In 1989 he began teaching theatre at Bellaire High School until 1996. After a brief 4 year stint as the theatre teacher at Lamar high school, he helped open Westside High School and establish its theatre program in 2000. In his 30 years of teaching, he has directed over 200 productions, written three produced UIL plays, and even made a brief appearance in the movie Rushmore!
